Wren Sharkey (they/them) is a student therapist pursuing a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adam’s State University. They have a B.A. in liberal arts from St. John’s College, Santa Fe campus.
Wren has spent the majority of their career as an educator and community organizer, largely around queerness, neurodivergence, racial justice, and disability. While working as an activist, Wren saw first-hand the relationship between mental distress, social roles, and systems of oppression. Due to this experience, they are drawn to therapeutic styles that consider what can be improved in a clients setting, in addition to their internal landscape. This includes modalities such as feminist therapy, queer therapy, relational-cultural therapy, existential therapy, and positive psychology. Wren aspires to help clients understand and overcome the social/personal barriers that stand in the way of their joyful autonomy.

their free time, Wren is an avid gamer (video and tabletop), crafter, reader, fiction writer, lover of the outdoors, history nerd, community organizer, and one of those people who treats their dogs like their children. They are also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and proudly neurodivergent."
