Abby Cerino is a student therapist pursuing her Master’s in Counseling at Southwestern
College in Santa Fe. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Minor in History from the University of
Pittsburgh. She also holds two California teaching credentials, Single Subject Social
Sciences and Multiple Subjects, which she earned at Cal Poly Humboldt. Further, Abby is a
200-hour certified Yoga Teacher, clinically trained Community Herbalist, and recently
completed the Ecotherapy Certificate from SWC.

For many years Abby has been growing in her skills, capacity, and personal embodiment of
the support she offers, which is at its roots based in her love of Mother Earth, her
relationship with the plants, and her passion for supporting others in connecting more
deeply with their inner wisdom and the land to promote healing. Choosing to become a
counselor was a natural evolution of her work as a teacher, mentor, and integrative healing
facilitator. No matter the form her work takes, Abby brings steadiness and presence, an
eagerness to meet clients where they are at, to understand their needs and multifaceted
circumstances, and support them in the ways they are seeking support. Some of the
approaches she is growing in include Mindfulness, Ecotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Somatic awareness, Existential Therapy, and Ecological Systems Theory.
