Araceli Lewis (she/her) is a student art therapist at TNCC in the Art Therapy and Counseling MA program at Southwestern College. Araceli was born and raised in the Santa Fe area. She attended the University of New Mexico, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a student art therapist, Araceli utilizes a holistic, client-centered, and strengths focused approach with an interest in combining art making with the process of emotional learning and meaning making. 

Inclusion, acceptance, and non-judgment are core values in the therapeutic relationships she forms with clients. Respect, humility, and sensitivity provides a strong foundation for growth and connection. Her journey with art as a healing modality started as an intuitive way to practice grounding and to process complex emotions. Araceli’s approach to art therapy empowers clients to use their creativity to build upon inner strengths and access outer resources to find personal meaning and support their well-being along the journey of healing.
