Cara is an herbalist and a clown, a textile enthusiast and a life-long learner. She believes both a sense of humor and the natural world to be useful tools for healing and transformation. She is as comfortable wandering through fields of flowers as she is spelunking in the underworld. Cara works from a trauma-informed and relational lens and brings deep curiosity, grounded honesty, and respect for others' personal stories, cultures and choices. An advocate by nature, Cara's orientation is to self-determination and equity in communities, institutions, and inside the therapeutic alliance. With an open and non-judgemental attitude, she hopes to support clients to tap into personal strengths and the inner expertise to make changes and choices that align with their journeys of healing and growth. Cara is particularly interested in supporting clients dealing with addiction, grief and loss, life transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. She also works in the realms of eco-therapy and rites of passage, blending ceremony and land literacy to support people through big life transitions. Cara strives toward a practice of sacred witnessing, collaboration, honesty and authenticity, and a bit
of light cackling.
