Alexandra Esquibel, MA, LMHC is a native of New Mexico and is excited to serve the Santa Fe community at TNCC. Alex attended Eastern New Mexico University majoring in music with an emphasis in voice and a minor in psychology and graduated in 2019. She obtained her master’s degree in counseling from Southwestern College in December of 2023. Drawing from years of working with children and teens with intellectual and developmental disorders as an Educational Assistant with Santa Fe Public schools and a Registered Behavior Technician, she approaches her work with a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the nuanced intersections of mental health and developmental experiences. Grounded in social justice and cultural awareness she uses Gestalt principles and DBT-based approaches to help facilitate holistic growth, honoring the uniqueness of each individual's narrative. She also taps into the healing power of music, using her background as a musician to help clients find joy, comfort, and expression through song.
Using humor, Alex creates a welcoming space for people to explore life's complexities, fostering connection and resilience along the way.
