Brendan O’Brien is currently a Practicum student at Tierra Nueva Counseling Center, approaching licensing as a mental health counselor. But it didn’t start that way. Through the course of his life, he’s worn many hats – from business ownership and journalism to homesteading and the creative arts. Through these experiences, and many years in group work and men’s circles, he brings an understanding of the complexity of human life, and of the individual. As a therapist, his clinical approach includes narrative therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness to support clients in their understanding of their own inner complexity.

It’s through a deeper relationship with ourselves that we can learn to reconnect and more deeply engage with our lives and the people we care about. Brendan is here as an ally to people from all walks of life as they take on this challenge.
