Jen Zakur is an Art Therapy and Counseling Intern with a background in the fast-paced world of creative production. After years of building experiences and stories for brands, she took a left turn toward a longtime pull: helping others. Now based in New Mexico, Jen is on the path to becoming an art therapist, blending her creative roots with a deep commitment to mental health and personal expression.
Jen’s clinical approach is rooted in narrative therapy and systems thinking, supporting clients as they re-author the stories they’ve inherited and carried into their current lives. She works primarily with adults of all ages and has a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent clients. She is Level 1 Gottman-trained, is pursuing Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy training, and works with couples of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures including both monogamy and consensual non-monogamy.
Jen is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and brings her own creative lens into the therapy room. She is drawn to the intersection of art, identity, and healing, and is committed to making therapy an accessible and affirming space for those navigating complex inner and relational worlds.
