Stephanie is a student at Southwestern College currently pursuing her master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling, and she holds a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the University of North Texas. She brings a deep commitment to supporting individuals in exploring their inner worlds with curiosity and care. Her path into this work has been shaped by a belief in the healing potential of creativity, connection, and authentic expression. She strives to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in showing up as their full, genuine selves.
Her approach is grounded in person-centered expressive arts therapy and informed by Relational Cultural Theory. She views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative and meaningful space where growth happens through connection—not only within the therapy room, but in how individuals relate to others and their broader communities. She aligns with Carl Rogers’ belief that “it is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial,” and integrates art-making, reflection, and dialogue to support clients in accessing emotions, building insight, and moving toward meaningful change.
Stephanie is honored to work with clients from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. She offers a trauma-informed, compassionate, and authentic space where each person’s story is valued. Through genuine presence and a nonjudgmental stance, she supports clients in navigating challenges, strengthening self-understanding, and cultivating meaningful connection in their lives.
