Art Therapy

Art Therapy is for everyone!

Some people wonder what in the world is art therapy? This is such a good question! People who are thinking about coming to therapy sometimes don’t know what art therapy is.

First of all, you don’t need to be able to draw to benefit from art therapy. You certainly don’t have to be an artist! Art therapists help their clients use shapes, lines and color to express what’s going on inside, or what’s going on in their lives.

Sometimes people are hesitant to talk about difficult issues. Sometimes people just aren’t comfortable talking about how they feel. Art Therapy can help people express themselves in a different way.

Art therapy is for everyone – adults, adolescents, couples, families, and children. Many people think of children when they think of art therapy, but anyone can see an art therapist. Art Therapists can help people work on issues related to depression, anxiety, divorce, trauma, work problems, bullying problems – any issue that is troubling someone is a good reason to come to art therapy.

We invite you to come and see what positive changes you might make working with an art therapist.
